Medical Assistant or Nurse (m/f/d) for a Psychiatric and Psychotherapeutic Practice and Day Clinic | approx. 25 hrs/week

About us

OVID Clinic Berlin is an innovative private practice and day clinic for psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatic medicine in the heart of Berlin-Friedrichshain. Our interdisciplinary team of specialist physicians, psychotherapists and other healthcare professionals combines medical and psychotherapeutic expertise within a holistic, evidence-based treatment concept — including cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic approaches and innovative methods such as ketamine- and psilocybin-augmented psychotherapy. Our services are available in German and English to privately insured patients and self-funding individuals. We open doors for our patients to profound and lasting change — and we are looking for people who want to live this mission alongside us.

To strengthen our dedicated team, we are seeking a Medical Assistant or Nurse to join us at the earliest opportunity.

As a Medical Assistant, you will be the first face of our clinic and an indispensable part of our daily practice and day clinic operations. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team of physicians, psychotherapists and patient management staff, playing a key role in ensuring that our patients feel in safe hands from the very first moment.

Your Responsibilities

You will take on a diverse range of administrative and medical tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the practice and day clinic:

  • Welcoming and supporting our patients — in person, by telephone and by email, in both German and English
  • Appointment management and coordination of consultations, outpatient therapy scheduling and day clinic treatment workflows (in a deputy capacity)
  • Assisting with the preparation and execution of medical examinations and treatments (e.g. blood draws, ECG, vital sign monitoring, placing intravenous access and preparing infusions)
  • Billing of private medical services in accordance with the GOÄ fee schedule, and communication with private health insurers and self-funding patients
  • Maintaining and managing patient data within the practice management system, as well as general documentation and administrative tasks
  • Supporting the organisation and coordination of day clinic treatment operations in close collaboration with the therapeutic team and patient management leadership

What We Offer

We value the work of our team and want you to feel at home with us, with the opportunity to grow alongside us over the long term:

  • Working in an innovative, modern clinic with a unique treatment concept in the vibrant neighbourhood of Berlin-Friedrichshain
  • Permanent part-time contract (approx. 25 hours/week) with long-term prospects
  • Attractive, above-tariff remuneration
  • Structured onboarding within a collegiate, interdisciplinary team
  • Continuing professional development and training opportunities
  • Deutschlandticket as a mobility subsidy, or
  • Urban Sports Club (USC) membership or comparable sports and fitness subsidy, or
  • Contribution to a company pension scheme (bAV) following the probationary period

Your Profile

  • Completed training as a Medical Assistant (m/f/d) or equivalent medical qualification
  • Good written and spoken English — for communication with international patients in our bilingual practice
  • Experience with GOÄ billing and practice management software (Epikur an advantage)
  • Empathy and sensitivity when working with psychiatric patients, combined with a professional and respectful manner
  • Strong organisational skills, reliability and the ability to maintain overview in a dynamic working environment
  • Enthusiasm for working within an interdisciplinary team and openness to innovative, evidence-based treatment approaches
